Sossego is a modern Brazilian design furniture brand with an international presence, featuring a showroom in New York City and exports to the United States. In Canela, in the Serra Gaúcha region of southern Brazil, we operate Aristeu Pires — our design furniture factory that combines artisanal craftsmanship with export operations for the North American market.

About the Role

We are looking for a mid-level Foreign Trade Analyst to join our team in Canela/RS, focused on export operations to the USA. The professional will be responsible for the full export cycle — from documentation to logistics tracking — ensuring our products reach the American market with excellence.

Responsibilities

• Full management of export processes (documentation, customs clearance, logistics tracking)

• Preparation and review of export documents: proforma invoice, packing list, commercial invoice, tax documents

• Direct contact with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers

• Shipment tracking and international freight quotations

• Interface with the commercial team in the USA (NYC showroom)

• International customer service and sales team support

• Process management using systems such as Airtable, Zoho, Focco, and Asana

• Compliance with foreign trade regulations and customs legislation

Requirements

• Degree in Foreign Trade, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields

• 3 to 5 years of experience in export operations

• Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs clearance

• Advanced English (daily interface with US-based team)

• Strong organizational skills, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Experience in the furniture or design industry

• Previous experience with exports to the United States

• Residing in the Serra Gaúcha region or near Canela/RS
