Introduction:

The Junior Client Director is responsible for driving bookings growth through consultative selling, building and expanding strong client relationships, and delivering tailored research and technology solutions that meet client business needs. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, this role combines commercial ownership with strategic thinking, new business development, and close collaboration with internal teams. The Junior Client Director plays a key role in growing Toluna’s presence within assigned accounts and contributing to broader market growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive bookings growth by achieving and exceeding personal bookings targets (quota) through consultative selling of Toluna’s technology solutions and full-service research offerings.
  • Acquire, build, and grow strong, long-term relationships with clients across consumer insights, marketing, and related functions.
  • Own and manage a personal bookings pipeline, including accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue within assigned accounts.
  • Identify, pursue, and actively drive new business opportunities, including supporting large strategic pitches.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling, insight-driven solutions aligned to client needs.
  • Actively contribute to local market growth initiatives and implement strategies to strengthen client relationships.
  • Represent Toluna at external conferences, client meetings, and thought leadership or partnership events as required.

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a market research agency or relevant client-side role.
  • Proven experience selling and/or delivering research solutions to consumer insights and marketing teams.
  • Strong consultative selling capabilities with the ability to align research solutions to client business needs.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements and closing deals.
  • Solid understanding of pipeline management and sales forecasting.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, growth mindset, and drive to achieve targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence running sales presentations and technology demos.
  • Experience in proposal writing and responding to client briefs.
  • Ability to positively influence internal teams through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal partners.
